Privacy Policy

The short version: Bibi is local-first. The people you add, your notes, interactions and reminders are stored on your iPhone and are never uploaded. There is no account, no cloud, no sync, no ads and no tracking.

This policy explains what Bibi ("the app", "we") does with your information. It reflects what the app actually does today. If that changes, this page and the in-app policy are updated together.

What we store, and where

Everything you create in Bibi lives on your device:

Contacts you choose. When you pick people to stay in touch with, Bibi reads your address book on the device. The people you select, along with their names and any notes, are saved only on your iPhone. Your address book is never sent to us or anyone else.
Reminders, rhythms and interactions. How often you want to reach out, when you last called, your streaks and notes stay on the device.
App settings. Your preferences are stored locally in the app's own storage. They only ever describe your own settings and never leave the device.

What leaves your device

The only information that leaves your iPhone is what Apple needs to process a Bibi Pro purchase.

Purchase history. When you buy or restore Pro, Apple's App Store (StoreKit) validates the transaction, unlocks Pro and supports restore purchases. This is handled by Apple. We use it only to keep your Pro features working, never for advertising or tracking.

All of that traffic is Apple's standard, encrypted App Store connection over HTTPS.

What we do not collect

No contact info (name, email, phone, address) is collected by us.
No user content (photos, notes) is uploaded.
No location, health, financial, browsing, or usage data.
No advertising identifier (IDFA), no ad SDKs, no data brokers.
No analytics or diagnostics data leaves your device.

Tracking

Bibi does not track you. No data is used to follow you across other companies' apps or websites. Bibi does not show the App Tracking Transparency prompt because it has nothing to track.

Notifications

Reminders are delivered as local notifications, scheduled and shown on your device. They are not routed through any server.

Your control over your data

Delete anything, anytime. Remove a person or a reminder inside the app to delete that data.
Delete everything. Uninstalling Bibi removes all local data from your device.

Children

Bibi is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them. Because the app stores everything locally and collects no personal data, there is nothing for us to gather in the first place.

Changes to this policy

If Bibi ever adds features that change how data is handled (for example optional cloud sync), this policy will be updated before that feature ships, and the "Last updated" date above will change.
